Salt and Pepper Chicken

Create your own Chinese fakeaway experience with this delicious Salt and Pepper Chicken, made with our seasoning mix with ginger, garlic and pepper.

How to cook


1 sachet Colman's Chinese style Salt & Pepper Seasoning Mix 

40ml water

400g chicken breast, diced

150g onion, diced

150g mixed pepper, diced

20g spring onions, sliced

20ml vegetable oil

500g cooked rice 



  1. Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Mix the Colman's Salt & Pepper seasoning with the water in a bowl and add the chicken, onions and peppers, then coat well.
  2. Step 2: Pour out onto a lined baking tray, drizzle with the oil, and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Remove from oven, serve with rice and sprinkle over the spring onions.


The Salt & Pepper seasoning sachet is EVU certified Vegan. For a meat-free alternative, swap out the chicken for diced firm tofu, or the Vegetarian Butcher "What the Cluck" pieces.
