Create your own Chinese fakeaway experience with this delicious Salt and Pepper Chicken, made with our seasoning mix with ginger, garlic and pepper.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 sachet Colman's Chinese style Salt & Pepper Seasoning Mix
  • 400 ml water
  • 400 g chicken breasts diced
  • 150 g onion diced
  • 150 g mixed peppers diced
  • 20 g spring onions sliced
  • 20 ml vegetable oil
  • 500 g cooked rice


  • Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Mix the Colman's Salt & Pepper seasoning with the water in a bowl and add the chicken, onions and peppers, then coat well.

  • Pour out onto a lined baking tray, drizzle with the oil, and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.

  • Remove from oven, serve with rice and sprinkle over the spring onions.



The Salt & Pepper seasoning sachet is EVU certified Vegan. For a meat-free alternative, swap out the chicken for diced firm tofu, or the Vegetarian Butcher "What the Cluck" pieces.
