Chilli con Carne

A spicy seasoning mix with chilli powder and cumin – Bring a kick to this Mexican classic with Colman’s Chilli Con Carne mix.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 sachet Colman's chilli con carne seasoning mix
  • 450 grams lean minced beef
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 150 ml cold water
  • 400 grams can chopped tomatoes
  • 400 grams kidney beans drained


  • Brown the mince and onion in a saucepan. Drain off any excess fat.

  • Blend the contents of the sachet with the water and add to the mince, along with tomatoes and kidney beans.

  • Bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes until thoroughly cooked.

  • Enjoy with freshly cooked rice.



The Chilli Con Carne seasoning sachet is EVU certified Vegan. For a meat-free alternative, swap the beef mince for veggie mince or lentils with sweet potato cubes.
